Dear Ms. Sikes I think "This Is Just To Say" is about a boy saying sorry about eating a plum that was suposed to be for breakfast.
I think "Choosing Shoes" is about trying to choose the perfect pair of shoes at the shoe store.
My favorite poem was "This Is Just to say" because instead of lying he asked for forgiveness.

“Choosing Shoes” Is at first about all of the convivial and exotic shoes; alien to a parent’s perspective of “good shoes”. This poem ends with the appalling truth, THEY wouldn't pick the buckle shoes, or bow shoes, neither little pointy toe shoes; That’s not the sort they’ll buy.

“This Is Just to Say” is about a hungry speaker who ate a few plums, which he thinks “you” were saving for breakfast. He asks for the "your" forgiveness; he could not resist. The plums were really yummy—sweet and cold, in the icebox, just waiting to be devoured.

Neither poem struck me as “awesome” but if I had to pick I would pick “Choosing Shoes” because the incredible rhyme scheme mesmerized me.

1. "Choosing Shoes" can be deciphered in many ways. The way I deciphered it at first was two kids happy to get new shoes, but their parents won`t let them get the shoes they want. I`ll save you the rest of the ways.
2. In "This is Just to Say" William Carlos Williams is trying to state that poetry doesn`t have to be about love and unicorns where everything rhymes.
3. Although both of them are about everyday things, I like "This is Just to Say" and how Mr. Williams didn`t make it about love and unicorns he made it simple, "short and sweet."

1."This Is Just to Say" is about how a person did something that he knew he should not have done. He could have lied and said that it wasn't him but he chose to apoligize instead and face the truth.
2."Choosing Shoes" is about how somebody had a bunch of fancy shoes to choose and then some modest not-so-nice shoes and he/she chose the modest not-so-nice shoes.

"This Is Just to Stay" is a poem about guilt and apologies to a girl who had plums and someone ate it, and they are apologizing.

"Choosing Shoes" is about a girl who loves shoes and is wishing about different kinds of shoes, but can only get boring, dull, practical shoes.

My favorite poem is "Choosing Shoes" because I feel the same way about shoes as the girl does.

1) "This Is just to say" is about a random guy who likes plums that stole some for breakfast, personally it makes no sense, I have no idea what in the world a plum is!

2) "Choosing shoes" is about a person who needs new shoes, but they can`t figure out what kind to buy! But finally there is shoes that are perfect for them.

3) For my favorite poem i`m going to have to lean towards "Choosing Shoes" because like I said- The one about the plums makes no sense at all. I did`nt really like the shoe one ether but i liked it more than the other.

The poem, "This is Just to Say" is about, a really selfish man who didn't save any food for his family that was (maybe) poor. Although they were poor he ate the peaches any way. The poem, "Choosing Shoes" is about, a liitle girl who wants to buy a brand new pair of shoes. She doesn't know which ones to buy because there are so many of them (sounds like me). Then she chooses all of them! If I had to pick a poem between "This is Just to Say" or "Choosing Shoes" I would have to pick "Choosing Shoes". I like that poem because when ever I'm buying shoes there are so many i just can't pick. I also liked how she described all her shoes. I really liked how it rhymed!

Dear Ms. Sikes,
I think "This Is Just to Say" is about a person that has done something wrong. They are sorry, but at the same time glad that they did it.
I think "Choosing Shoes" is trying to say that sometimes choices are hard, but you still have to make a choice.
I like "This Is Just to Say" better because sometimes I feel the same way. Like one time I stole some cookies, and when I got in trouble I was sorry. At the same time I was glad I did it because the cookies were tasty.
