This is just to say is about a person that has eaten the plums out of the icebox.
The second poem, choosing shoes is about different types of shoes.
I vote for this is just to say because I loved how it flowed and the line breaks.

The first poem, This is just to say is about a person who has eaten plums out of an icebox that someone has saved. I liked it, but I thought it was sort of random.
The second poem, Choosing Shoes is about a person trying to pick out shoes but is having a hard time deciding which ones to choose.
The poem I liked better was Choosing Shoes because I liked how it rhymed in a fun way by using adjectives to describe the shoes. My favorite line(or two) of the poem was : Flat shoes, Fat shoes, stump along like that shoes ,Wipe them on the mat shoes.

Choosing Shoes= Choosing Shoes is about a girl telling us about different shoes she can try on in the store.

I liked Choosing Shoes better because It has discriptive language and it is more interesting to read. For discriptive language, her is an example,Strappy, cappy, low shoes.

The first poem,"This is Just to Say",is about a girl or a boy telling their parents that they ate the plums that were in the refrigerator and got in trouble for it.

The second poem,"Choosing Shoes", is about a person trying to choose what shoes to by and the difficulty of choosing the right shoes.

I choose," Choosing Shoes", because I like the words they used to describe the shoes.

the first poem, This is Just to Say is about if you have sinned in your life like steeling the plums from the icebox that people were going to eat for breakfast, you would ask for forgiveness from God and he would forgive you for what you did. The second poem Choosing Shoes is about all the different shoes which is related to all the different races in the world but we all share the world as a community. The poem I choose is Choosing Shoes because it has more of a meaning in life and beyond.

choosing shoes was about there being all these amazing things, but you being forced to choose the worst one.

This is just to say was about somebody having something, and you take it because it was so tempting.

I choose choosing shoes because I liked the meaning better.

The poem Choosing Shoes was good because, it was asking you what kind of shoes you would wear:pointy fat and different kinds like that. What shoes would you pick?

The poem This Is Just To Say is about someone eating someones plum that they were going to eat for breakfast.

I liked This Is Just To Say better because I thought that Choosing Shoes was kind of weird and pointless because, it was telling us the different kinds of each shoe.

The first poem, This Is Just To Say, is about someone eating someone else’s plum, but the person asked for forgiveness.

The second poem, Choosing Shoes, is about someone buying shoes and is trying to choose which ones they are going to buy.

Out of these two poems, I have to choose, Choosing Shoes as my favorite. I chose Choosing Shoes because it has good rhyming words and I like when Ffrida Wolfe says, “dandy dance by night shoes”. It is good descriptive language. I also like how the author says something then enters and indents and repeats the process.

I didn’t choose, This Is Just To Say because there wasn’t many rhyming words and it didn’t flow as well as the other poem, and it was just a small mistake and not as meaningful (about a plum!), but I did like how he was asking for forgiveness. I also liked how the author used some of the line breaks, but not all of them. One good example is,
So sweet
And so cold
, but a bad example is,
that were in
the icebox.

The first poem, This is Just to Say, is about a person who stood up to something bad that they did.

The second poem, Choosing shoes is about someone who is trying to find shoes but there are so many shoes that the person can't choose.

The poem I chose was Just to Say because I liked the word choice and the line breaks. I liked the word choice because it made the poem more believable, and I liked the line breaks because it made the poem more easy to read.

I also liked the ability to visualize and I had a personal connection. I liked the ability to visualize because when I visualized the picture in my mind looked real, and my personal connection was when I don't tell my parents that I did something bad I feel guilty. I also had a question Did that poem really happen to the author? :)

I think Choosing Shoes is about someone who would love some new, fancy, special shoes, but sadly they only get boring shoes.

I think This Is Just to Say is about when someone took and ate something they weren't suppose to.

My vote goes to Choosing Shoes because the beginning really reminds me of my mom's closet. All the descriptions of the fancy shoes make me feel like i'm with my mom.

My interpretation of the first poem, This Is Just To Say, was that the author was trying to tell us that we should forgive every one like God forgave us.
My interpretation of the second poem, Chosing Shoes,is about what or who would you pick first.
My favorite poem is This Is Just To Say, because I love the authors wording and the main idea of the poem.

Choosing shoes is about how they go to buy nsome and she i talking about what shoes she would buy, but they buy other types of shoes.

Just to say is about how he/she says that I have eaten your plums that you were probable going to eat for breakfeast and how he/she is sorry.

Over all I like Choosing shoes because I like the rhyme and I like how she chose to discribe the shoes and I personallyn like these two phrases,"Stump-along-like-that shoes,Wipe-them-on-the-mat shoes.

The first poem was about someone talking about how they took something and that their sorry

The second poem was about picking differentt shoes when you go shopping

I liked the second poem because it rhymed and the other one had no meaning to it and I can connect to the second poem because its hard for me to choose shoes when I shop

This Is Just To Say is about someone who couldn't help them selves, but eating the plums and was to tempted and having a crave for them.

Choosing Shoes was about different types of shoes there are and ones that you could wear. I visualized all the different colored, shaped, and fancy shoes. I would love to go shop for shoes like those in this poem.

The poem i liked the best was Choosing Shoes, because it made me think about how many different types of shoes there are in the world.

I read This is Just to Say first. Then Choosing Shoes. This is Just to Say is about a guy who eats some plums that belong to someone else and says he(or she)is sorry. Choosing Shoes is about some kids who want fun and intresting shoes, but their parents get them boring, regular shoes.
I liked Choosing Shoes better because it rhymes and I thought This is Just to say was weird.

The first poem, Just to Say, is about a man stealing the plums out of an ice box and then telling how good they were to somebody else. I think this would be an example of guilty pleasure.

The second poem, Choosing shoes, is about the strategies you use when you are about when you are about to choose shoes.

I chose Just to say to win this round.

This Is Just to Say
is about something that has eaten a plum and is sorry.

Choosing Shoes is telling people about all different kinds of shoes.

I chose This Is Just to Say because it made me think... who or what ate the plum, out of the basket, and why.

Choosing Shoes was really boring to me because I do not like to shop and don't care what my shoes look like.

This just to Say was kind of weird because a person take a food and eats it and is sorry for it.

I choose This is just to say because I don't like shoes.

The first poem, This Is Just to Say, is about someone who accidentally ate the plums in the icebox that someone else was going to use. The meaning is to try not to take unless you ask and get the "ok" sign that you can use it, eat it, or play with it.

The second poem, Choosing Shoes, is about how you don't always get what you want but sometimes what the other person thinks is best for you.

I think that Choosing Shoes was better because, it had more discriptive language and a better meaning and that I could connect to more, the other poem it took me a couple times to read it and then say," Oh this doesn't exactly have a meaning, or not a very deep one." The meaning I also realized was sort of like a lesson.

This Is Just to Say is about a boy or girl who is being honest about what they did. The person who ate the plums could have just lied and said that someone else ate the plums, but she told the truth that he or she ate the plums. He or she came to the person who was saving the plums for breakfast for forgiveness. The person describes the plums as if they were very good.

Choosing shoes is about different kinds of shoes. They describe different shoes in the poem. It describes shoes of different colors, different shapes, and shoes for different things. I can visualize someone at a shoe store describing this. This poem reminds me of a Dr. Seuss book. They describe things very well in this poem.

I choose This Is Just to Say. I choose it because it describes the plum in way that would make you want to eat a plum. It is also kind of a funny poem. Choosing Shoes was pretty good too. It described the shoes well. I just liked This Is Just to Say a little bit better and it will move on in the tournament.

This is Just to Say was about a person who ate a plum in the icebox and asks the other person to forgive him/her.

Choosing Shoes was about a person who was looking at all different types of shoes.

I chose Choosing Shoes because of the line breaks, rhymes, and word choice. I love how the poet described each shoe. I think the author was trying to say that there are a lot of different types of shoes. My favorite poets craft is the word choice because every line break there is a different kind of shoe.
P.S. My favorite type of shoe is an Ugg!!

The first poem, This is Just to Say, is about a boy who ate some plums that he wasn't suppose to eat. But, then he fesses up and admits that he ate the plums.
The second poem is, Choosing Shoes, it is about when you go pick out new shoes it is hard to choose which ones because there are so many.
I chose the poem Choosing Shoes, because it had very good poet's craft such as: it rhymed, it had good punctuation, and very well written in general. I also picked this one because it was more descriptive than the other poem.

The first poem I read was This Is Just To Say. It was about a kid who couldn't hold himself back from eating plums. And he apologized for what he did.

The second poem I read was Choosing Shoes. It was about a girl who loved fancy shoes, but she couldn't afford them so she had to wear old ratty shoes.

I choose Choosing Shoes because I like how the poet describes all the shoes. She made me use my imagination. I really liked how the poem rhymed and flowed.

"This Is Just to Say" is about a child confessing to one of their parents that they have eaten the plums without permission, but enjoyed them just the same.

"Choosing Shoes" is a poem about choosing the shoe that is most comfortable and the one you will have the most fun in, rather than choosing the one that is fancy, but uncomfortable.

I chose to vote for "This Is Just to Say" because I can really connect to the meaning of the poem. I have had many times in my life when I have confessed to one my parents.
