Dear Ms. Sikes,

Casey at the Bat is about a girl that beleives she can win her baseball game, but dose't.

The Falling Star is about a star that is shooting, but won't last long.

I choose The Falling Star. The reason why I choose The Falling Star is because it's a very happy and joyful poem. I also like this poem because it has a very good meaning.

The first poem, “The Falling Star," is about a person describing a beautiful shooting star.

The second poem,” Roger the Dog,” is about a very lazy dog.

I chose ,”The Falling Star,” because it was very beautiful in how it explained a shooting star.

Dear Ms. Sikes,
The first poem,"Roger the Dog," is about a lazy dog that likes to always get in the way of things.

The second poem,"The Falling Star," is about a kid that looks into the night sky and spots a star that is different from all the other stars. Then it slowly fades away in the moonlight sky.

I would chose The Falling Star because it had a lot more meaning in it. It was also short but it still described what was happening well. It also had more writers craft.

Love,
Camden

Dear Ms.Sikes,
The poem "Roger the Dog" is about a dog named Roger who is lazy, but is like a normal dog.

The poem "The Falling Star" is about a star that is falling out of the sky!

My favorite is " The Falling Star". I liked it because it rhymed, and it used great desriptive language. For example, "Too burning and too quick to hold, Too lovely to be bout or sold."

Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Sikes,

I read a poem called "Roger the Dog." It is about a dog named Roger who is super lazy and never moves from where he is sleeping.

I also read a poem called "The Falling Star." it is about a star that is falling and it is only in the air for about a minute for you to wish on it.

My favorite poem was "The Falling Star." I liked it because I really like stars, and because I think it has good details.

Dear Ms.Sikes,
The poem, “The Falling Star,” is about a falling star.

The second poem,"Roger the Dog," is about a lazy dog that sleeps and eats... That's it.

I vote for "The Falling Star". The story itself is more descriptive and has a better story. The poem isn't long but it rhymes well. "Roger the Dog" just didn't click well for me because of lack of descriptive story lines compared to "The Falling Star".

Dear Ms. Sikes,
The first poem I read was called, "Roger the Dog." This poem is about a dog who is very lazy.

The second poem I read was called, "The Falling Star." This poem is about a star that is falling in the sky, and the star can only have good wishes made on it.

The poem I chose was called, "The Falling Star." One reason why I chose this poem is because it catches my attention a lot more than the other poem. I can visualize the star sliding down the sky. This poem is very unique to me. The poem has a meaning to me that I haven't ever thought about.

Dear Ms. Sikes,
The poem, "Roger The Dog," is about a dog's daily life.

The other poem,"Falling Star," is about a star that you can wish dreams on.

I choose,"Falling Star,". I chose it because it had more detail in it and the meaning was better. Also it was a better moral than, "Roger The Dog."

"If" is about a father/mother telling their son that if he can stand up to bad things, handle really good things, and just be normal then he will be a man.

"The Falling Star" is about a little girl who saw a shooting star. It was too fast to hold or be sold, but it is only good for making wishes on.

I like "If" the best. I like"If" because it rhymes and there are many punctuation marks, but only one end punctuation mark. It was a period. I also love the meaning about how if you can face your fears and be brave, be happy and not brag, and focus on doing the right thing then you can be a good person.

Roger the dog is about a dog that isn't active.

The falling star is about a person describing a falling star.

I liked Roger the dog better, because he acts the exact opposite way of my dog Olive. She is sparky and peppy, while Roger is lazy. So this is funny to me.

The first poem,"Roger The Dog," is about a dog who only likes to eat, and sleep. The dog hates to run. He saves his energy for gobble, and chomp.

The second poem, "Falling Star," is about a star that is really bright, but it's going too fast to hold. It's too lovely to be bought or sold.

I like the first poem, "Roger The Dog," because it rhymes, and it reminds me of a time at my lake house when my dog got a Sun Chip bag stuck on her head. She was running around shaking her head trying to get it off.

Casey at the Bat is about a boys baseball team that is loosing four to two and has two outs. Then, they get a player on second and third base, and Casey is as bat. He has two strikes and sadly he strikes out.

The Falling Star is about a person who is looking at a shooting star. They are naming all the things about the shooting star's personality. They are also saying how bright and beautiful it is.

I choose the The Falling Star because I like the way it rhymes and how Sara Teasdale makes it sound like the shooting star was there and gone in a heartbeat.

"Falling Star" is about a person telling about a falling star.

I chose "Falling Star" because it named some of the characteristics of the falling star. I also like that it rhymes. I can connect to this poem because you can kind of replace the falling star with another thing. I can replace it with my old dog,Chaucer, because he was so special to me.

The second poem was, "Roger the Dog". This poem is about a dog that is very lazy. He lays around all day and only gets up to eat.
