The first poem, Choosing Shoes, is about a person who is wondering about what shoes it will get, only to realize that someone else will buy the wrong shoes for them.
The second poem, Some One, is about a person that hears a knocking at their door, goes to look who is there, only to find that no one is there at all.
I chose Choosing Shoes because it rymes and I also like how the auther changes the mood at the end. The poem starts happy and exited, but at the end the person realizes that he/she will not be buying the shoes.

The poem,"choosing shoes," was about a person saying,"what shoes would you buy if you could, and what they would like. From all these different types of shoes.
The poem,"Some One," was about a person who herd a knock at the door, and nobody was there. The person looked all around, and didn't see anybody. Then she found out that it was nobody, just some sounds.
I chose the poem, Choosing Shoes." I chose the poem,"Choosing Shoes," because it was really deap, it rhymed, and it seemed like a better story to me.

I read a poem called "Choosing Shoes". It is about a girl who is choosing shoes and can't decide what shoes she can get.
I also read a poem called "Some One". It is about someone who comes knocking on the author's door but leaves so the author doesn't know who knocked.
My favorite poem was "Choosing Shoes". I liked that poem because it was very descriptive about all the different types of shoes. I also liked it because I liked the creativity that the author used when she was thinking of all the different shoes.
The first poem, "Some One", is about how a person thinks someone is knocking, but really it is a bee thumping the wall.
The second poem, "Choosing Shoes", is about a kid whowants to buy some new shoes, and the types.
My favorite peom was "Choosing Shoes" because I thought that it had more rythm, and flow. Also it had more detail.

The poem I choose is "Choosing Shoes". I vote for this poem because I like how it rhymes and the line spacing. I also like how the author used the last word in one section and made it rhyme with the other.

Poem one, “Some One” was about a person knocking on the door of someone’s house.
Poem two was called “Choosing Shoes” and it was asking you what type or style of shoe you liked the most.
My favorite poem was “Some One”. One of the things I liked about it was that it rhymed and it had a good flow. What this poem meant to me was that if a good opportunity comes knocking to your door, don’t wait. Go and try it before it’s too late or it goes away.

I liked, "Choosing Shoes," because it had more things that connected to me. The thing that connected to me was all the different kinds of shoes. When I go to shoe stores I see all different kinds of shoes. I usually get overwhelmed with all the colors and designs. I like how the writer put in all rhyming colors and kinds of shoes.

In the first poem I read, Choosing Shoes, is was about a kid who is going to the shoe store, and is talking about what shoes he might but.
In the other poem, Some One, it was about a person who heard the door bell ring, and went to answer the doorbell ring. Then, she listened for any sounds.
I chose Choosing Shoes because I liked how the poet rhymed. I also made a text- to - self connection because that is how it is like when I'm choosing shoes.

The first one that I read was "Some One". In it, something is knocking on the door. It is a very small door they say. But, in the end it was not a person at all. It was a beetle bug.
The second story was "Choosing Shoes". It is about a person who has a lot of shoes. All of the shoes are different shapes and sizes.
It was really hard for me to pick between the two. But, I chose "Some One". I think that the writer used very good writing skills.

Casey at the Bat is about a person playing baseball and he is at bat.
Roger the Dog is about a dog that is not very active.
I liked Roger the Dog more because it is funny. It also is very descriptive about how Roger spends his day. I think this poem is funny because my dog acts the exact opposite. My dog is very peppy and obnoxious.
The first poem,"Casey at the Bat," was about a boy named, Casey. When it was the last inning, his team down by two, two people on base, and two outs. It was Casey's turn to bat. Then Casey got two strikes, that really weren't, and the crowd got really mad. Then Casey struck out.
The second poem,"Roger the Dog," is about a dod named Roger, how his life is, and what goes on in his day.
I choose the poem,"Casey at Bat." I choose,"Casey at Bat," because it takes you in, and makes you want to read more. It also makes you feel like your in the story, and I can relate to that when I was at bat in a game.

The first poem I read was called, "Casey at the Bat." This poem is about a baseball player who is relied on to win the game, but he strikes out. To me that means don't put all of your eggs in one basket.
The second poem I read was called, "Roger the Dog." The meaning is that Roger (the dog) only likes to be lazy, and clean his food bowl out.
I chose the poem "Roger the Dog." I chose this poem because of the comparisons. For example, "He bakes his head as if it is a loaf of bread." I can have a connection to this because of Dixie. Dixie (my dog) was lazy too, and her favorite things to do were to eat, to sleep, and to be happy. I can visualize Roger doing all of his actions because I had a dog that did a lot of his actions.

"Casey at the Bat" is about a boy named Casey who goes to bat. Everyone loves casey, and they are amazed when Casey struck out.
"Roger the Dog" is about a very lazy dog that won't do anything but sleep, eat, and scratch his fleas.
I like "Casey at the Bat" because it tells a whole detailed story that rhymes. I also like the descriptive language. For example " a sneer curled Casey's lip." I also like its meaning. The meaning is that you can't rely on one person to make things good and perfect because that person messes up too. You can't only like one person. You need to trust your friends and everyone, and you need to help make things good too.
