Dear Ms.Sikes,
Casey At Bat is about a boy who is playing in a baseball game and the score is 2-4 and the guy at second got out. Now it's up to Casey to win the game.

The second poem I read was Roger The Dog it was about a dog who sits around all day in his bed.

My favorite poem was Casey At Bat I liked this poem best because it is a lot more exiting than Roger The Dog.

Dear Ms.Sikes,
The poem "Casey At Bat" is about a girl named Casey at bat, and it was the last inning. She struck-out!

The poem "Roger the Dog" is about a dog named Roger who is just an average dog.

My favorite poem was "Roger the Dog". I liked it because it rhymed words together liked wheeze, ease, dog, and log!

Dear Ms. Sikes

The first poem, "Casey at the Bat" was about Casey batting and it was the last inning, but she struck out.
The second poem was "Roger the Dog" and it was about a dog that always sleeps.
I liked "Roger the Dog" better. I thought it was sort of funny. One thing I'm wondering is why did the author choose to write about a sleeping dog? What I also liked more about "Roger the Dog" is that it rhymes.

Dear Ms. Sikes

"Casey at the bat" is about a pro baseball player (Casey) who is suuposedly very good.

"Rodger the Dog" is about a very lazy dog who hardly does anything.

I chosse "Rodger the Dog" because it rhymed, and had some funny metaphor. "Casey at bat was more of a story than a poem, and had no poet's craft.

Dear Ms. Sikes,
The first poem"Casey at Bat," was about a girl named Casey who was at her her baseball ame and it was her at bat. She ended up striking out.

The second poem, "Roger the Dog," which is about a lazy dog who doesn't move alot and loves to sleep.

The poem I liked the best was "Roger the Dog," because it rhymed and how the author explained how he always stayed laying on the floor and always in the way.

Dear Ms. Sikes,

Roger the Dog is about a dog that is lazy, and all he ever does is sleeps(snores),eats, and is just boring.

Casey at the Bat is about Casey striking in a baseball game and how the crowd went and got angry at him for that.

I like Casey at the Bat better because it was exciting and it showed how Casey felt about this crowd and baseball. When he let the ball pass him, the crowd was very angry at him. When they taunted him,
he puposely let the ball fly pass him.

JZ

Casey at the Bat is about Casey's team being down 4-2 and they have a player on third and a player on second. now Casey is at bat and he says that this is not his type of pitch for the first two pitches and the third pitch he sadly strikes out.

Rodger the dog is about a dog who just lays down and sleeps all day and saves his energy just to clean his plate.

I choose Casey at the Bat becuase I can relate to striking out but I don't strike out often. also because I like how the author puts in a lot of ryhmes and makes the game sound professional.

Dear Ms.Sikes,
The first poem is "Roger the Dog". It is about a dog that is lazy and doesn't do much.

The second poem is "Casey at the Bat". It is about a guy named Casey that is on a baseball team. Everyone thinks he is going to hit a home run to win, but he strikes out instead.

I chose "Casey at the Bat" because it tells you a story about a baseball gme.

The first poem,"Casey at he Bat," is about a team that is losing and their only hope, Casey, strikes out.

The second poem,"Roger the dog," is about a very lazy dog.

I chose "Casey at the Bat," because the mood really changes at the end. I think it is interesting how at the end they say,"I'm sure somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright, the bandis playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light; and somewhere men are laughing and children shout, But there is no joy in Mudville-mighty Casey has struck out.”

The first poem I read was "Casey at the Bat." It was about a kid who is the best baseball player in Mudville. When he played this game he got three strikes!

The second poem I read was "Roger the Dog." It was about a dog that only eats and sleeps!
I liked "Roger the Dog." Because I love dogs and I know they only eat and sleep. I also liked how the poem rhymed. I also liked how it tells the reader how Roger (the dog) can't even exersise!

Casey at the bat is about a boy's baseball etam is having a bad game, so is she.

Rodger the dog is about a dog who is really lazy. He hates exersise, and active things.

I pick rodger the dog because I like poems that rhym. Another reason is that Casey At the Bat is more of a story than poem.

Dear Ms. Sikes,

In the first poem I read, Casey at the Bat, it was about a team from Mudville who was down by two runs, and a boy named Casey was up to bat. Then he struck out, and they lost.

The second poem, Roger the Dog, was about a dog who is lazy, and loves to eat and sleep.

I chose Casey at the bat because the poet used very descriptive language. He also rhymed very well. But, the main reason why is because it happened to me too. I was up to bat with the game on the line, and I hit a line drive that the shortstop caught.

Dear Ms. Sikes,

How are you? I read a poem called "Casey At the Bat". It is about a kid named Casey who is really good at hitting the ball. He gets up to the plate with two outs and strikes out.

I also read a poem called "Roger the Dog." It is about a super lazy dog who sleeps all day and he is really stubborn because he will never move.

My favorite poem was "Casey At the Bat." I liked that one because I felt like it had more meaning and I liked that it was kind of written like a story. I also liked it because I play baseball and I have to go through times like that too.

The poem,"Roger the Dog," is about a family’s lazy dog.

The poem, “Casey at the Bat," is about a team having a bad game.

I liked "Roger the Dog" because I can relate to it. I can relate to it because sometimes my dog is just being lazy. I liked how the poet described what the dog did to be lazy. I though the poet in the right amount of poetry. He related the poem to a real life of a lazy dog.
