Dear ms.Sikes,
The first poem I read,"If", is about some doubts and if things.

The second poem I read, “The Falling Star”, is about a falling star.

The poem I vote for is “The Falling Star". Although the poem isn't long I love how it rhymes. The author did a great job on describing the star. I think the poem"If" is just too hard to understand. I hope the author was focusing more on describing and details.

AN

"If" is about someone saying if you can do it, or if you choose to do something.

"Falling Star" is about a falling star and someone saying that it's too lovely to be bought and only good to make wishes on.

I chose "If" because I like that it breaks the lines up by saying if you can do something and almost an example to what it means. I also like that it rhymes too. I can connect to this poem because I am always usually saying “if” all the time.

The first poem “If-“is about the bad things in life happening, but you can stay in control of yourself.

The second poem “The Falling Star” is about a star falling north and the star is very pretty and priceless. It is only good for wishes, and then the star will be gone.

I am voting for “The Falling Star”. I really like how the poet used some figurative language. For example the poet put the line “I saw a star slide down the sky”. I also like how it all rhymes. It makes the poem flow really well together.

"If" is about a parent tellin their son that if he can do a bunch of things, than he will be a man.

"A Falling Star" is about a shooting star that you can't catch or sell. You make wishes on it, and then it will be gone.

I like "The Falling Star" because it has perfct rhyms and there are only 4 punctuation marks. I also like the meaning. The meaning is that you can't catch a perfect life. Life will never be perfect. There are times, but then we all have to settle down.

Dear Ms. Sikes,

The first poem I read was called, "If." This poem is about the bad things in your life that can hurt you.

The second poem I read was called, "The Falling Star." This poem is about a star that is falling. But you can only make one wish on it, and then the star will be gone.

The poem I picked is called, “The Falling Star.” One reason why I picked this poem is because I can visualize the actions of the star. The poem to me is very calm, and different. There is a lot of rhyming in this poem it makes the poem stick out.

dear Ms. Sikes,

The first poem I read was called "If." It was about a man asking a person a lot of questions. If the person says yes to all of the questions, then they get to be with the man.

The second poem I read was called "The Falliig Star." It was about how beautiful a fallig star is.

I chose "The Falling Star." I picked it because it makes me have a very clear image in my head as for the other poem, not so much.I also thought that the rhyms in ,"If,"where too far apart.

The second poem,"If-" about all of the if questions in life.

I chose,"The Falling Star," because, though it is short, it describes a shooting star perfectly. I also love the passion and emotion the writer is expressing.

Dear Ms.Sikes,
The first poem, If, is about if's and some stuff you can or can't do.

The other poem, Falling Star, is about a star that is good for only making wishes.

I chose, If, because it had more details and a better meaning to it. The moral in it was better than the first one. It also rhymed which I thought was good.

Dear Ms. Sikes,

The poem "If" is about a dad talking to his son who is about to be born.

The other poem "The Falling Star" is about a person who sees a beautiful shooting star.

I chose the poem "The Falling Star" because it had some cool rhyming and great metaphors. The author also described the star in it very well. "If' was confusing and long. Although "If" had a better meaning I still like the poem "The Falling Star" better.

Dear Ms. Sikes,

I read a poem called "If." It is about a mother or father telling her son that he can do and be whatever he wants to be if he puts his mind to it.

I also read "The Falling Star." It is about a falling star that can never be touched or sold, but you can make wishes on them and then it will be gone forever.

My favorite poem was "The Falling Star." I liked that one because it gave me a more vivid picture in my head than the other poem. I didn't choose the other poem because it didn't really have a meaning and I felt like the author could have made better rhymes.
